Este mural foi criado a pedido da BMO com a intenção de celebrar o rebranding da marca em forma de arte, de ligação com a matéria-prima e de partilha com os convidados hospedados do Hotel da montanha no último dia do ano. Numa festa em plena fábrica da Burel onde se brindou ao desejo de permanência da história da lã e do burel, à fábrica e ao ano novo de 2017.
Pensado para gerar um elo indelével que ligasse o hotel à fábrica e a todos os hóspedes, rapidamente este mural assume uma forma mutável e distribuível, com um conceito formal assente no mesmo formato dos ‘puzzles’ encaixáveis em baixo-relevo para crianças pequenas, mas sem limite de possibilidades na sua composição.
Em potencial conceptual o mural é mutável conforme a disposição das peças “células”, mas na realidade efetiva cada convidado levou consigo um pedaço do mural, numerado e assinado. Sendo que simultaneamente a peça mãe “organismo” permaneceu na fábrica, é uma espécie de mural quântico, em simultâneo, a peça em exposição na fábrica da Burel e cada uma das peças individuais, nas suas coleções privadas que amontoam ao potencial transformativo do total.
Um mural têxtil volumétrico feltrado e montado sobre uma base de madeira com recorte a baixo-relevo no qual se encaixam círculos, numerados e assinados de 1 a 26, em correspondência aos quartos do hotel.
Técnicas e materiais: Lã feltrada e esculpida manualmente, contraplacado. Corte e gravação a laser.

Created upon request from the BMO, this Mural aims to celebrate the brand in the form of art; it's connection wool as ground material and all the guests staying at the Mountain Hotel at a gathering in the Burel Factory, toasting to the longevity of the history of wool and burel, to the Factory and to the new year of 2017.
Intended to create an indelible link that connects the Hotel to the Factory and to all its guests, this Mural quickly takes on a changeable and distributable form. With a formal concept based on the same format as the bas-relief jigsaw puzzles for children, but without limitation of possibilities in its composition.
In conceptual potential, the Mural is changeable according to the provision of the "cell" pieces, but in reality, each guest took a detail of the Mural with them, a signed and numbered puzzle bit, while simultaneously the main work "organism" remained in the factory.
It is a quantum Mural, being both the piece on display at the Burel factory and each of the individual parts, in their private collections that add up to the transforming potential of the actual work.
A hand felted textile Mural mounted on a wooden base with a bas-relief cut-out in which circles were placed, numbered and signed from 1 to 26, corresponding to the rooms in the Hotel.
Materials and techniques: Hand felted and hand sculpted wool. Ply wood. Laser cut and engraving.
